What does the organization do?
We build and maintain the systems wildlife professionals use to record the animals in their care, and we turn what they record into knowledge that protects wildlife more broadly.

Three ways: grants, contracts and gifts from individuals. None of it belongs to a single project. Together it pays for the whole ecosystem and the people who keep it running.

Yes. We are a U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofit, EIN 46-3151740, and gifts are deductible to the extent the law allows.
Ways to give CostWhat does WRMD cost?
WRMD Standard is free and always will be. Pro adds batch updating, attachments, custom fields and a lot more for $250 a year.

Not openly. The dataset is not public. We scope each request case by case, the organizations that contributed the records have to consent, and what we share is de-identified. Start by telling us what you are working on.
